Law Landscapes Ltd specializes in many aspects of the landscaping industry, including lawn construction. We can complete small scale jobs (under 50m2) and large jobs (over 50m2).
We complete the earthworks if this is required to complete the job. We have access to diggers which Jay operates to cut costs and complete the job as cost-effectively as possible.
If soil has to be removed, then this is completed either by skips or by our own company trucks.
Installing the ready lawn or laying the seed:
- this is installed onto at least 100mm of specially compacted growing medium
- the growing medium is a specially formulated weed-free lawn mix soil which contains a balance of sand, pumice and free draining garden mix
- if we have to build the new lawn area up, then we use a general topsoil.
We install either ready lawn or seed onto this subbase of lawn mix which is most commonly a Rye / Tall Fescue combination. This is the most compatible for New Zealand conditions, regardless of the amount of sun (part sun, shade or full shade). We also install hand-sown seed, or we can arrange for hydroseed to be added to this lawn mix.
Law Landscapes provides an ongoing maintenance guide to maximize the likelihood of a long lasting healthy lawn for your family and home. This includes a watering guide, fertilizing guide etc. We can also install a professional watering system to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant.
